Pet Galaxy is a pet store located near Christiansburg (actually located in Roanoke VA) that is a locally owned smaller pet shop that offers unique reptiles, small animals, saltwater fish, corals, and more. Pet Galaxy in Roanoke VA sells pet supplies and saltwater aquaria.

Pet Galaxy opened in Jan 2011 and is not like other large chain pet stores. They have a small, yet very knowledgeable staff.

The store does not sell dogs or cats and are mentioned on the United States humane society’s website as being a puppy friendly pet store. Pet Galaxy took a pledge not to support puppy mills and the mistreatment of animals.  The store takes a financial hit from not selling dogs or cats like other pet stores but the stores owners say that money is not as important as the fair treatment animals.  Pet galaxy encourages customers to adopt from local shelters or responsible local breeders.
