I have been thinking about the winter lately. Although it is still warm I have been trying to decide how I might most efficiently heat my house. It is quite hard to heat my house and I am thinking that I might try to get some of the fireplaces up and running by getting some fireplace inserts and then getting them looking really nice and functional at the same time. I think that it will be a lovely feature as well as a great way to keep us warm. I think that I should be able to find some free fuel as well because we live near to a wood. We even have some outdoor fireplaces which we have been using in the cool summer evenings and have been lovely. We have quite a collection of wood because I have been gathering it for this purpose but we did not need one as often as we thought. I need to find somewhere nice and dry to store it and then I can go on regular walks and collect the wood which will be fun, good exercise and useful as well as saving me money. I almost cannot wait until the weather gets cooler.
